Tennis ECCA is organised with the long term aim of improving the competitiveness of Henry Park Primary School Tennis by capturing junior players’ interest early, providing quality training from Primary 1 onwards, and opportunities to hone their competitive skills at the senior primary level. As an added benefit, HPPA Tennis ECCA also facilitates parents’ networking, to provide quality parental support to our HPPS Tennis kids, both in terms of logistics and through the sharing of tennis related parenting tips for our little tennis champions.

Under 10 (U10) Program

The U10 program is based on the “Play and Stay” concept, where young children train and compete with equipment that is appropriate to their stage of development. Modified equipment (eg smaller rackets and softer balls) and smaller courts are used for Red and Orange Ball junior players. In Singapore, the full size court is used for Green Ball competitions.

For more information on Play and Stay, visit their site

Under 12 (U12) Program

U12 kids will use regular tennis balls during their training and matches. Matches will be on a full sized court.

The program is organised by Head Coach Gary Tan of Sport by 5. He has played US Collegiate Tennis as well as Singapore National Team Tennis. He is currently a certifier of Tennis Coaches under the Professional Tennis Registy (PTR).
